The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. (BTMU), was launched on 1st January, 2006, through the merger of The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, Ltd. and the UFJ Bank Ltd., thus creating the world's largest bank in terms of total assets.
